What’s the Process?
- Contact me and organise an appointment to obtain a quote
- Bring any pictures to the appointment that you may have of the garment you want and measurements will be taken down to ensure your design is created to fit you
Once we know the type of design we have a better idea as to what types of fabric you should use. This is when you get to do some shopping! Have a look around different fabric stores at their fabric’s and colours and remember to ask them for some samples. I can advise you as to which fabric suppliers to go to if you are unsure where to start.
After you find your fabric all you have to do is leave it with me and the work begins. Once I have cut out and put together your garment you will be called in for a fitting. The number of fittings required will depend on how well the first one goes. However normally you will only need 1 to 2 fittings and completed garments can usually go home on the 2nd fitting. This will always be completed before the date you need it.
Along with the creation of new garments, I also provide the
service of altering already existing garments, Bridal and
Bridesmaids. Resewing lose buttons, shoulders that are
too wide, zips that need replacing and hems that are
too long or too short are all part of my service for men
and women.
